Looking Your Best: Wedding Skincare Tips

Beautiful BrideWith your wedding day fast approaching, you want to look your best. This means taking care of your body from head to toe.

Let’s start with your skin.

Your skin will be in the spotlight on your wedding day and for years to come in your wedding photographs.

Here are some terrific tips to get your skin into picture perfect shape.

Drink water.
Drink at least eight glasses of water each day. Water cleanses your skin from the inside out, improving its texture and eliminating blemishes.

Eat healthy.
Add healthy foods to your diet, such as fresh fruits and vegetables. Berries are terrific for your skin, low in calories and delicious too. They are rich in antioxidants, which help to repair your skin and strengthen blood vessles.

Sleep well.
Your skin (and the rest of your body) rejunvenates while you sleep. If you don’t get enough sleep, over a period of time your skin will look dull and worn out. Try to get 7-8 hours of restful sleep each night.

Exfoliate.
Exfoliation removes dead skin cells and leaves your skin looking fresh and renewed. Look for exfoliating products made with all-natural ingredients. Don’t overscrub, which leads to inflammation.

Moisturize.
Use a moisturizer both morning and night. But don’t forget the rest of your body too. Make it a habit to use a moisturizing lotion over your entire body after you step out of the shower. Also use a sunscreen with SPF 15 or greater everyday to protect your skin from the sun’s harsh rays.

Exercise.
Improved circulation will have your skin looking young and rosy. By doing cardiovascular exercise at least three day a week, you can keep both your skin and your body in shape.

Get a Facial.
About two weeks before your wedding date, you should get a professional facial to remove the impurities from your skin. Don’t have the facial too close to your wedding day, as sometimes these treatments can leave your skin red and irritated.
