I'm the sort of person who is too old-fashioned to abandon the idea of a paper invitation. The world could do with fewer people like me though, as we waste paper endemically.

I personally couldn't resist having paper wedding invitations. It's just so old-fashioned and elegant to send out a wedding declaration with ribbon and script.

I do, however, like the idea of using e-vitations for more acquaintance-type friends or those that are computer savvy. I certainly wouldn't bother sending all of my facebook friends a paper wedding invite, but I might be willing to gather their email addresses to send out online invitations.

At first, I balked at the thought of online invitations. Then, if you think about it, only the bride and groom and maybe a few close friends or family members will save the invitations. Most will throw them away - what a waste of $100-$500! This is also definitely a more "green" way to get married. And we certainly could have used the extra $100 to pay for our honeymoon. Kudos for a great idea!
