The Queen of England and Duke of Edinburgh are set to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. The couple will host a special celebration on Monday, one day before the actual anniversary. They will be returning to the site of their wedding 60 years ago – Westminster Abbey, where 2,000 people will join them in the celebration. 30 members of the Royal Family, including the Prince Charles of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William and Prince Harry, will be there. Princess William will give a reading and the Archibishop of Canterbury will preside over the festivities.

A Texas couple celebrated their 80th wedding anniversary last weekend. Melvin Scott, who is 100-years-old and his wife, 99-year-old Minnie Lou celebrated with generations of family and friends. 80 years ago, they were part of a vaudeville act and someone offered them $25 to get married on stage. The couple took the offer, as they were planning to marry anyway, and have lived happily ever after. They used the $25 to buy a bedroom set and a set of china, which they still use today.
Buffy Becomes a Prinze
Sarah Michelle Gellar surprised her husband, actor Freddie Prinze Jr. on their fifth wedding anniversary by taking his last name. Sarah presented him with a new driver’s license, bearing her new name, and Freddie was thrilled. She is now Sarah Michelle Prinze.
