Hi there 'hotel guest', thanks for dropping in to clear that up! It does seem that a lot of fun was made of the event, and it sounds like it was skewed from the original event as you describe it (big suprise huh?). Anyway, it is great to hear the facts from someone that witnessed it! Sounds like a grand wedding, 600 guests? Wow.

the hotel was never evacuated, in fact many guests slept through the whole event. Only the rooms affected by the water were evacuated. Some guests did choose to leave because of the smell coming from the water. And the bride and groom didn't just flee-they actually sat in the lobby with the hotel employees for over 2 hours making sure they didn't need to "do anything." As for how drunk the bride was...she really wasn't "inebriated" she sure wasn't sober either but alcohol wasn't the cause of this incident and she did not need help getting to her suit (I rode in the elevator with her on the way up). You see what people failed to mention was that this bride just came from an amazing wedding with close to 600 guests and it was probably that "perfect wedding" of every girls' dream. I'm not saying that was she did wasn't stupid because it was and as she sat on the floor bawling in the hallway of that hotel it was really hard not to laugh and start snapping pictures. I'm just saying that everyone does have a right to laugh about this; it was one of the funniest things I have ever seen but at least get the facts right. And just a note many of the rooms came with signs posted by the sprinklers not to hang anything on them-hers did not have a sign. And the fire department was at the hotel for at least 20 minutes running in and out of that room not sure how to turn off the water if it weren't for one of the groomsmen (a sprinkler inspector) showing up and turning off the water many more rooms would have been destroyed
