We always hear about celebrities selling their wedding photos to magazines (and many of them donating the money to charity). However, I think this is the first time we have heard of a celeb actively shopping around the rights to her photos.
According to the New York Daily News, American Idol runner-up Katharine McPhee is looking to sell her photos from her upcoming February wedding to Nick Cokas.
According to the paper’s source, she is seeking $60K and has already been turned down by “… People, In Touch and OK! magazines.”
I would think if you were a big enough star, magazines like People would come to you, instead of you having to ask for buyers.
Don’t worry Katharine, I’m sure someone will buy them!

You’re all probably sick to death of hearing about Katherine Heigl’s wedding. (I know I’m getting close!) But it certainly seems like they’ve got some new news every week or so. Their PR people must be working overtime!
First it was the date and their plans, then it was how gorgeous the even was and what gown she was wearing (since she wouldn’t say before the big day). Well, now it’s all about her and her new husband Josh Kelley’s honeymoon.
I know! I’m sorry. I just couldn’t help posting about this!
Anyway, Extra TV reports that after Heigl and Kelley had their wintery Utah wedding she forgot her passport and he lost his ring! Talk about bad luck!
Less than 24 hours after their wedding, Kelley realized he didn’t have his wedding band anymore. (How does that happen?!) As it turns out, though, Heigl’s brother happened to find someone with a metal detector and they were able to find the band in the snow. Phew! I guess metal detectors really are a worthwhile investment.
As if that wasn’t enough, though, the morning before the newlyweds were set to leave on their honeymoon in Mexico, Kelley asked his new wife if she had her passport. All Heigl could say was “no,” and they had to return to L.A. before they could leave! Don’t worry, they still got to go, just a little later than they planned.
At least now we know those things happen to the stars too! Let this serve as a lesson to you all: keep your wedding ring close and your passport closer! Oh, and I guess it’s okay to keep your new spouse closest.

Check out Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley’s wedding photos from OK! Magazine over at thejjb.com. Katherine and Josh look just adorable! What a beautiful couple. The two were married on December 23, 2007.
They also offer a few quotes from Katherine and Josh about the wedding and being married.
On her initial thoughts about a winter wedding: “I don’t think either one of us was thinking a Christmas wedding. Originally it was because I only get two weeks a year for my Christmas vacation… but then we really got excited about it.”
On choosing to wed Utah’s in Deer Valley where Josh had vacationed with his family in his younger years.: “We wanted to do it in a place that felt like a winter wonderland. We incorporated lots of big evergreens in the reception with twinkle lights and Christmas decorations.”
On how it feels to be married: “We’re elated! We have never lived together.” (Josh added: “We don’t even sleep in the same bed when family is around!”)
On how marriage will change things: “This new house means now we are in this together. It means compromise on style, taste and how each one of us lives, how we don’t like to live and how we’re going to work it all out. It’s going to be an amazing place to start our lives together and start a family.”
On how soon kids are coming: “I’d like to start talking children seriously in the next year but Josh feels more like two years, so we’ll probably do a year and a half.” (Josh added: “My view is, let’s take it one day and one child at a time!”)

Beyonce and Jay-Z have reportedly begun planning their wedding. The couple has been engaged since June, however they hadn’t started doing any planning. I was beginning to think they might be one of those couples that stays engaged forever.
The Globe (I know, not the best source) is reporting that Beyonce has now started to look for venues.
Their source says, “There was a time when Beyonce wanted an enormous fairy-tale wedding, but now she’s a masterminding a smaller party in New York.
“At the moment, she considering either The Carlyle or Peninsula Hotel.”
I love Beyonce! So I can’t wait to see what she does with her wedding. Hopefully we’ll be able to get some details soon on the plans!

Superstar Eddie Murphy married his girlfriend, film producer Tracey Edmonds on New Year’s Day in a small ceremony on a private island off Bora Bora. The couple said their vows in front of a small group of friends and family on the beautiful French Polynesian island.
The romantic ceremony began at sunset. The bride wore a Sugia Nazel and Jill Baracci wedding gown and the groom wore a matching cream suit.
Edmonds gave her bridesmaid earrings from XIV Karats in Beverly Hills, while Murphy gave his groomsmen D.Atlantis watches. Murphy’s best man was Johnny Gill from New Edition.
The ceremony took place on the beach under a special gazebo created by event designer Colin Cowie. The gazebo was made out of 6,000 shells.
The couple began dating last year and were engaged in July.
Though Murphy has been in the news in recent months about paternity issues with Spice Girl Melanie Brown, his wedding was picture perfect and without controversy.
Murphy, 46, has five children from his previous marriage to Nicole Mitchell Murphy, and a daughter with Mel B. Edmonds, 40, has two sons from her marriage to Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds. Tracey Edmonds may best be known as the producer of the film and television series “Soul Food.”
Congrats to the newlywed couple!

According to E! News, TMZ and several other media outlets, actor Josh Duhamel recently popped the question to his long-time girlfriend, singer Fergie.
The two have been dating since September 2004. They met when she guest starred on Las Vegas. Duhamel is currently in his fifth season on the show.
Earlier this month Fergie had told Blender that she was in no rush to get engaged because they were “practically married anyway.” The Black Eyed Peas singer is currently working on her second solo album.
I can’t wait to hear all about their wedding plans. Congrats to the cute couple!

As a society, we definitely love weddings. That’s got to be why there are so many movies that have wedding-centered plots, right?
Well, there’s yet another one coming out, and I think it looks hilarious. Really, though, what’s a movie about love if there’s no humor? And furthermore, what’s a marriage without some hilarity? Clearly the theme of this movie is on the right track.
So what is this mystery film? The movie is called 27 Dresses, and it’s scheduled to hit theaters in early 2008. The main character? Katherin Heigl. (Wow! Has she ever been busy!)
Heigl is a bridesmaid in the movie, but a bride in reality, with her own wedding scheduled for Dec. 23. (That’s this Sunday!) A bit of a stretch from real life, though, the movie focuses on Heigl as a character that’s “always a bridesmaid, never a bride.” Hence, the 27 dresses.
Heigl’s character, Jane, is idealistic, romantic and completely selfless. She’s perfectly content playing the bridesmaid role over and over again, even though her own happy ending is nowhere in sight. But when her younger sister Tess captures the heart of Jane’s boss, with whom she is secretly in love, Heigl’s character begins to reconsider her “always-a-bridesmaid” lifestyle.
It certainly seems like it’ll be a hit, but we’ll let you know what we really think when the movie finally debuts in theaters. Until then, though, enjoy the movie’s trailer, over and over and over again!

In just a few days we’ll all get to ooh and aww over Katherine Heigl’s wedding pictures. That is, if she releases them to the public.
She very well may, though, now that she’s gone public with all the fabulous details her big day holds in store. Heigl granted an interview with Access Hollywood to give out some select info about her wedding to singer Josh Kelley just two days before Christmas.
Originally, the Grey’s Anatomy star thought she’d opt for an autumn wedding out east, but since setting the date, the idea of a winter wedding has grown on her.
Heigl also tells Access Hollywood that she and Kelley chose to write their own vows in an attempt to keep things ‘traditional.’ Her musician fiancé isn’t planning on singing his vows, but he is planning a serenade for his bride at their wedding reception.
Katherine talks a lot more about her wedding, from bridesmaid dresses to her guest list, but one thing she didn’t do was tell all about her dress design and designer. It looks like we’ll have to wait to get all the juicy details.
We did get one clue from the interview though: that the dress will give her a classic look, a style she donns often at major Hollywood events. Of her dress, Heigl says, “I picked a dress that I felt worked best for my body. It’s a silhouette. I really love that old Hollywood vibe, so I kind of always stick with that.”
Whatever you wear, Katherine, we’re sure you’ll look beautiful! Congrats on tying the knot!

Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough and his longtime girlfriend Leigh Boniello were married on Saturday in Orlando, according to PEOPLE.
The twosome met in 2000 when Boniello was working as the Backstreet Boys’ webmaster. They were engaged last New Year’s when Dorough made a surprise proposal in front of 40 family and friends at Boniello’s home in New Jersey.
Congratulations and good luck to the happy couple!
