When Presidential daughter Jenna Bush married Henry Hager this past weekend, I’m not sure if it was the wedding of the year but I did like her Oscar de la Renta gown.

The wedding ceremony, which will held on Saturday, May 10, 2008 on the family ranch in Crawford, Texas was relatively private. About 200 friends and family members watched the couple say their vows in front of a simple limestone cross near a lake.

“Our little girl Jenna married a really good guy, Henry Hager. The wedding was spectacular, all we could have hoped for,” President Bush told reporters.

Jenna’s twin sister, Barbara, was the maid of honor and Henry’s brother Jack, was best man. Though Jenna’s dress was lovely, I didn’t like Barbara’s dress at all. What do you think?

First Daughter Jenna Bush will be walking down the aisle in less than a month at the President’s Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas. Details have started to emerge in recent days about the wedding between the 26-year-old and Henry Hager.

The bride will have 14 attendants, who will wear short chiffon dresses designed by Lela Rosa. Jenna’s twin sister Barbara will serve as the maid of honor.

Reportedly, the outdoor service will begin at 7:30pm, then the 200 guests will enjoy dinner and dancing under a tent.

As for Jenna’s dress, Oscar de la Renta has created a simple beaded gown for her with a small train. The low key affair will take place on May 10th. Though the events won’t be as extravagant as you might expect for a president’s daughter, I’m sure they will be still be quite beautiful.

“I was raised in Texas and it just felt right,” Jenna told the Washignton Post. “It means a lot to Henry and me to be outdoors. We wanted something organic and low key.” She said she considered a White House wedding but decided it wasn’t for her. “That’s not really my personality. There’s a glamour to it, I know, but Henry and I are far less glamorous than the White House.”

According to People.com, Beyoncé and Jay-Z were married on Friday in New York at the hip hop mogul’s Tribeca apartment.

The wedding buzz began on Tuesday when the couple received a marriage license in Scarsdale. A tent was set up on top of Jay-Z’s apartment building and flowers began arriving on Friday afternoon.

Also spotted heading into the apartment were Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams (Beyoncé’s fellow Destiny Child members), Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband, Chris Martin of Coldplay.

If they did get married, it was just a small affair for close friends and family. But could they have just been celebrating something else?

Jay-Z recently completed a $150-million deal with Live Nation for all his music-related businesses. That’s certainly reason to celebrate!

I’m not sure if we will ever get all the details on this one. The couple, who have been together for six years, have never even publicly acknowledged their relationship to the press.

Actor Rhys Ifans attempted to ask actress Sienna Miller to marry him last August and December by sending her Welsh text messages and hiding rings. The extravagant methods didn’t work that well with Sienna saying no both times. But her rejections didn’t stop Rhys from asking her a third time.

On her 26th birthday in December, the 39-year-old asked again and this time was a success.

The couple is now reportedly planning a quiet wedding for sometimes this summer.

A source told the UK’s The Daily Mirror,”Rhys is over the moon and finding it hard to keep quiet … he can’t believe she finally said yes.”

The couple, who have been dating for about a year, are currently in Los Angeles where Sienna is filming her new movie GI Joe.

In the current issue of OK! Magazine, you can find the top ten most beautiful celebrity wedding gowns. From Tori Spelling’s Dolce & Gabbana gown at #10 to Katherine Heigl’s Oscar de la Renta dress at #6, all the way to Vanessa Williams’ beautiful corseted Vera Wang gown at #3, these dresses are all amazing.

But it was Katie Holmes’ silk Armani gown that topped the list at #1.

Also on this video is just a quick glimpse at the Filene’s Basement “Running of the Brides.” This annual sale is held at select Filene’s Basement stores once a year (twice in Boston). During the sale, brides can get designer gowns that are worth up to $10,000 for just $249, $499 and $699.

The brides line up very, very early and when the doors open, they run toward the racks … like the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona, Spain. In less than a minute the racks are emptied as brides are all over the store in various stages of undress, trying on the gowns.

It looks like President Bush has a busy year ahead of him, and not just because it’s his last year in office. People reports that President Bush’s daughter, Jenna Bush, is all set to wed her beau, Henry Hager on May 10.

Jenna’s engagement was announced in August of 2007, but other than that, all plans have been kept under wraps until now.

That’s not to say there’s a whole lot of new information about the ‘I do’ Day other than the locale.

Though her mother, Laura Bush, thinks a White House wedding would be “a lot of fun,” Jenna’s opted for a more private affair that is rumored to take place at the Bushes’ gated, 1,600-acre Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, TX.

Aside from the wedding’s supposed location though, the public doesn’t know much. Looks like we all might be stuck waiting until May for all the juicy details. But hey, look on the bright side: at least that’s only three and a half months away!

We always hear about celebrities selling their wedding photos to magazines (and many of them donating the money to charity). However, I think this is the first time we have heard of a celeb actively shopping around the rights to her photos.

According to the New York Daily News, American Idol runner-up Katharine McPhee is looking to sell her photos from her upcoming February wedding to Nick Cokas.

According to the paper’s source, she is seeking $60K and has already been turned down by “… People, In Touch and OK! magazines.”

I would think if you were a big enough star, magazines like People would come to you, instead of you having to ask for buyers.

Don’t worry Katharine, I’m sure someone will buy them!

You’re all probably sick to death of hearing about Katherine Heigl’s wedding. (I know I’m getting close!) But it certainly seems like they’ve got some new news every week or so. Their PR people must be working overtime!

First it was the date and their plans, then it was how gorgeous the even was and what gown she was wearing (since she wouldn’t say before the big day). Well, now it’s all about her and her new husband Josh Kelley’s honeymoon.

I know! I’m sorry. I just couldn’t help posting about this!

Anyway, Extra TV reports that after Heigl and Kelley had their wintery Utah wedding she forgot her passport and he lost his ring! Talk about bad luck!

Less than 24 hours after their wedding, Kelley realized he didn’t have his wedding band anymore. (How does that happen?!) As it turns out, though, Heigl’s brother happened to find someone with a metal detector and they were able to find the band in the snow. Phew! I guess metal detectors really are a worthwhile investment.

As if that wasn’t enough, though, the morning before the newlyweds were set to leave on their honeymoon in Mexico, Kelley asked his new wife if she had her passport. All Heigl could say was “no,” and they had to return to L.A. before they could leave! Don’t worry, they still got to go, just a little later than they planned.

At least now we know those things happen to the stars too! Let this serve as a lesson to you all: keep your wedding ring close and your passport closer! Oh, and I guess it’s okay to keep your new spouse closest.

On how soon kids are coming: “I’d like to start talking children seriously in the next year but Josh feels more like two years, so we’ll probably do a year and a half.” (Josh added: “My view is, let’s take it one day and one child at a time!”)

Beyonce and Jay-Z have reportedly begun planning their wedding. The couple has been engaged since June, however they hadn’t started doing any planning. I was beginning to think they might be one of those couples that stays engaged forever.

The Globe (I know, not the best source) is reporting that Beyonce has now started to look for venues.

Their source says, “There was a time when Beyonce wanted an enormous fairy-tale wedding, but now she’s a masterminding a smaller party in New York.

“At the moment, she considering either The Carlyle or Peninsula Hotel.”

I love Beyonce! So I can’t wait to see what she does with her wedding. Hopefully we’ll be able to get some details soon on the plans!
