Wedding Cake Trends

Posted on November 14th, 2008 by Kori Ellis in Wedding Cakes No Comments

Gone are the days when round three-tiered white cakes were the norm at weddings. Wedding CakeNow you see every and any kind of cake imaginable. The last two weddings that I attended, one had devil’s food cake that was iced in burgundy (matching the bridesmaid dresses) and the other had a topsy turvy cake done in colorful fondant.

Some couples are skipping wedding cakes altogether and instead going for an elaborate dessert table full of rich, decadent delights instead. How about you? Are you sticking with a traditional white wedding cake?

Beyonce To Keep Wedding Photos Private

Posted on November 13th, 2008 by Kori Ellis in Celebrity Weddings No Comments

When Beyonce married Jay Z in a very private ceremony earlier this year, the event was kept away from the paparazzi. Many thought that the couple would reveal pictures of the ceremony at a later date, but so far it’s not happening.

Beyonce - Jay ZMany Hollywood couples invite a particular magazine to their wedding for exclusive photos (at a huge cost to the mag, of course). But Beyonce scoffs at the idea.

“Now, they offer crazy money that’s just ridiculous. But in the end, absolutely not,” Beyonce said in a recent interview. “It’s so not worth it. If anything, if you wanna put something out, then put it out, not for money.”

“We worked really hard at keeping it private. I’ve always been this way, and he’s always been this way, so that’s why we complement each other. We always knew that it would be private and quiet, for all the right reasons.”
