The Way You Look Tonight – Wedding Song Lyrics

Posted on October 28th, 2007 by Elsa in Anything Goes No Comments

By Frank Sinatra

Someday when I’m awfully low
when the world is cold
I will feel a glow just thinking of you
and the way you look tonight

es you’re lovely
with your smile so long
and your cheeks so soft
there is nothing for me but to love you
and the way you look tonight

With each word your tenderness grows
tearing my fear apart
and that laugh wrinkles your nose
touches my foolish heart
lovely never never change
keep that breathless charm
won’t you please arrange it
cause I love you
just the way you look tonight

And that laugh that wrinkles your nose
it touches my foolish heart
lovely don’t you ever change
keep that breathless charm
won’t you please arrange it
cause i love you
just the way you look tonight
just the way you look tonight

My Girl – Wedding Song Lyrics

Posted on October 28th, 2007 by Elsa in Anything Goes No Comments

By Temptations

I’ve got sunshine on a cloudy day
When it’s cold outside
I’ve got the month of May
I guess you’ll say
What can make me feel this way

My girl my girl my girl
Talkin’ ’bout my girl
my girl

I’ve got so much honey
The bees envy me
I’ve got a sweeter song
Than the birds in the tree
Well I guess you say
What can make me feel this way

My girl My girl my girl
Talkin’ ’bout my girl
Yeah Yeah

I don’t need no money
Fortune or fame
I’ve got all the riches Baby
One man can claim
Well I guess you say
What can make me feel this way

It’s my girl
Talkin’ ’bout my girl

I’ve got sunshine on a cloudy day
With my girl, I even got the month of May
My girl
Talkin’ ’bout my girl
Talkin’ ’bout
Talkin’ ’bout
My girl My Girl

Butterfly Kisses – Wedding Song Lyrics

Posted on October 28th, 2007 by Elsa in Anything Goes No Comments

By Bob Carlisle

There’s two things I know for sure.
She was sent here from heaven, and she’s daddy’s little girl.
As I drop to my knees by her bed at night,
She talks to Jesus, and I close my eyes.
And I thank God for all the joy in my life, But most of all…
Butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer.
Stickin’ little white flowers all up in her hair.
“Walk beside the pony daddy, it’s my first ride.”
“I know the cake looks funny, daddy, but I sure tried.”
Oh, with all that I’ve done wrong, I must have done something right.
To deserve a hug every morning, and butterfly kisses at night.

Sweet sixteen today.
She’s looking like her momma a little more every day.
One part woman, the other part girl.
To perfume and makeup, from ribbons and curls.
Trying her wings in a great big world. But I remember…

Butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer.
Stickin’ little white flowers all up in her hair.
“You know how much I love you daddy, but if you don’t mind,
I’m only going to kiss you on cheek this time.”
With all that I’ve done wrong, I must have done something right.
To deserve a hug every morning, and butterfly kisses at night.

All the precise time.
Like the wind, the years go by.
Precious butterfly, spread your wings and fly.

She’ll change her name today.
She’ll make a promise, and I’ll give her away.
Standing in the bride room just staring at her.
She asked me what I’m thinking, and I said, “I’m not sure,
I just feel like I’m losing my baby girl.”
Then she leaned over… and gave me…

Butterfly kisses, with her mama there.
Stickin’ little white flowers all up in her hair.
“Walk me down the aisle daddy, it’s just about time.”
“Does my wedding gown look pretty daddy?” “Daddy don’t cry.”
With all that I’ve done wrong, I must have done something right.
To deserve a hug every morning, and butterfly kisses.
I couldn’t ask God for more, man, this is what love is.
I know I’ve gotta let her go, but I’ll always remember.
Every hug in the morning, and butterfly kisses…

Brown Eyed Girl – Wedding Song Lyrics

Posted on October 28th, 2007 by Elsa in Anything Goes No Comments

By Van Morrison

Hey where did we go,
Days when the rains came
Down in the hollow,
Playin’ a new game,
Laughing and a running hey, hey
Skipping and a jumping
In the misty morning fog with
Our hearts a thumpin’ and you
My brown eyed girl,
You my brown eyed girl.

Whatever happened
To Tuesday and so slow
Going down the old mine
With a transistor radio
Standing in the sunlight laughing,
Hiding behind a rainbow’s wall,
Slipping and sliding
All along the water fall, with you
My brown eyed girl,
You my brown eyed girl.

Do you remember when we used to sing,
Sha la la la la la la la la la la te da

So hard to find my way,
Now that I’m all on my own.
I saw you just the other day,
My how you have grown,
Cast my memory back there, Lord
Sometime I’m overcome thinking ’bout
Making love in the green grass
Behind the stadium with you
My brown eyed girl
You my brown eyed girl

Do you remember when we used to sing
Sha la la la la la la la la la la te da.

World’s Most Expensive Flower Wedding Bouquet

Posted on October 28th, 2007 by Melissa in News, Wedding Flowers No Comments

$125,000 Flower Wedding Bouquet on Display In Viet NamWell, we’ve shown you the world’s longest wedding dress and the world’s most expensive wedding cake. I guess the time has come for the world’s most expensive wedding bouquet!

This Vietnamese creation is made of 90 gemstones, 9 diamonds, and 1 star-shaped ruby. The glittering bouquet has made its way into the Vietnamese Guinness Book of Records for the most expensive collection of gemstones and flowers. How much you ask? It comes in at $125,000 USD. Okay, so its not $20 million dollars like the wedding cake, but it sure is a lot prettier. The bouquet is displayed on the 6th floor of the Ruby Plaza, one of Viet Nam’s largest trade centers.

My wedding bouquet cost around $100.00. But as most of you know, its not about what it cost, but about how it made me feel.

When you’re holding a beautiful, fresh, color-coordinated flower bouquet, walking down the aisle in front of 100 or more family and friends, the last thing that comes to mind is “Wow, I should have spent more on this”.

San Diego On Fire, Truly Has Been Looted!

Posted on October 25th, 2007 by Melissa in Behind The Scenes, News No Comments

San Diego On Fire!

We’re working hard getting Truly up and running, and we’re surrounded by chaos. We live in Southern California, San Diego, and as most of you know, we’ve been battling wildfires for the last 5 days. We’re lucky that we haven’t been evacuated, but have come very close. In the midst of this chaos, we continue working long hours to get ready for the launch of Truly Wedding Favors. Our hearts go out to the thousands of families in San Diego who lost their homes in this tragedy.

As if the fires weren’t enough, this morning I discovered that someone had broken into Eric’s truck! The door was wide open, and the stereo equipment was missing. It looks as if the thieves rummaged through every nook and cranny, including the glove compartment. We’re definitely disappointed; we’ve lived in this neighborhood for 3 years and have never witnessed an incident like this here. In the midst of all this, we feel lucky to have been kept safe in our home. We’re in the office again, working on the task at hand, feeling positive about what the future holds.

Lifelike Wedding Cake

Posted on October 25th, 2007 by Melissa in Anything Goes, Funny, Wedding Cakes 3 Comments

I saw this picture and was completely dumb-founded. A Wedding Cake created to look like a person – the Bride no less! Don’t get me wrong, the cake looks great and I am sure it is a close resemblance, took a lot of time and effort to create and all, but I just don’t think I can wrap my mind around eating a cake that looks like someone. It just seems creepy.

Still, if you want something truly unique and unusual at your wedding reception, this certainly fits the bill. Can you imagine all the jokes being blurted out as the Bride and Groom cut their cake? And just where would you start cutting; at her head or neck or back or where?

Let’s hope the actual cake part wasn’t something like Red Velvet cake – yuck!

Intoxicated Bride Floods Honeymoon Suite

Posted on October 25th, 2007 by Melissa in Funny, News, Wedding Attire 2 Comments

Sounds too incredible to be true, but it is. A bride in Hoffman Estates, Ill., accidentally activated the emergency sprinkler system when she hung her wedding gown on one of the sprinkler heads. She was so inebriated she required help getting to her suite at the Hilton Garden Inn and shortly after 1:00 am, she hung her dress from the sprinkler head and set off the emergency system.

sprinkler1.jpgHer suite as well as the one next door were instantly flooded and rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors were damaged while over 184 rooms were evacuated due to the accompanying fire alarms going off. Seven weddings had been booked at the hotel for the night. The Bride and Groom fled the scene and have not been located. Well, yeah! I don’t care how drunk you are, you do not hang anything from an emergency sprinkler system sprinkler head. That’s what closets are for!

Wedding Guests’ Bus Bursts Into Flames

Posted on October 24th, 2007 by Melissa in Behind The Scenes, News No Comments

Wedding guests who chartered a bus from Philadelphia to attend a wedding held in St. Louis, MO. got more than they bargained for on the road home. Shortly after they crossed over into Ohio, the bus began smoking and eventually burst into flames.

The group of 55 had traveled from Philadelphia to St. Louis with the thought of saving gas, time, emissions, and hotel stays by renting the tour bus. Everything seemed to be working as they hoped until the bus driver began smelling smoke. After realizing the smell was not from a rider trying to sneak in a cigarette, he pulled over and noticed a tire was on fire. When tires catch on fire, it is virtually impossible to extinguish them. Even after the arrival of several fire fighters, the fire could not be stopped.

All the passengers and the driver escaped unharmed but their belongings and the bus were completely destroyed.

Renting Your Wedding Gown, Would You Do It?

Posted on October 24th, 2007 by Melissa in Wedding Attire 1 Comment

shop_bridal_gowns.gifI know, I know, but just think about it for a minute. For many brides-to-be, renting their wedding gown is the only way they can afford a more expensive one. Certainly there are many new gowns in the $100.00 – $300.00 range, but the problem with a less expensive dress is it can be sparse on detailing and often looks economized. However, for about the same amount of money, she can rent a gorgeous designer wedding gown for her special day. So, what are the pro’s and con’s to owning versus renting your wedding gown?

Owning Pro’s – It’s yours forever; you can pass it on to your children or grandchildren.

Owning Con’s – The expense; what if your marriage ends; storage preparation is $100.00 or more.

Renting Pro’s – Far less expensive; money savings can be spent on the wedding, honeymoon or a home; no one will ever know.

Renting Con’s – It’s not yours to keep forever.

Okay, so this may seem a little bias but let me set the record straight; I purchased and still have my wedding gown at a cost of $1500.00 back in 1990. If I had it to do over, I would rent my wedding gown and use the savings on our honeymoon. Our honeymoon was wonderful, but it would have been great to go to some exotic locale like Fiji or Tahiti rather than South Padre Island, TX. What do you think? Would you buy or rent?
